el aparato sobre una superficie blanda, como

una cama o un sofá, donde se puedan obstru-

ir. Mantenga las aberturas libres de pelusas,

cabellos y elementos similares.

7. Nunca utilice este aparato mientras esté

dormido/a o adormilado/a.

8. Nunca deje caer ni inserte ningún objeto en

ninguna de las aberturas del aparato.

9. No utilice el aparato en exteriores, ni lo haga

funcionar donde se estén usando productos

en aerosol (spray) o donde se esté adminis-

trando oxígeno.

10. No utilice una extensión con este aparato.

11. No sumerja el aparato en agua.

12. No toque las partes calientes de este aparato;

13. No toque los postes que sostienen los rulos;

están muy calientes.

14. Ponga el aparato sobre una superficie llana.

15. PRECAUCIÓN: No utilice este aparato con el

cabello húmedo. El cabello debe estar seco.

No utilice gel ni ningún tipo de producto de

peinado líquido antes de marcar el cabello.

Instrucciones básicas

1. Coloque los rulos adentro de la unidad antes

de conectar éste a la toma de corriente.

Cerciórese que los rulos están abiertos (no

cerrados) para calentar.

2. Ponga el aparato sobre una superficie plana y

segura. Conecte el cable a una toma de corri-

ente de 120V AC. El cable de este aparato está

dotado de una clavija polarizada (una pata es

más ancha que otra). Como medida de seguri-

dad, se podrá enchufar de una sola manera en

la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara

en la toma de corriente, inviértela. Si aún no

entrara completamente, comuníquese con un

electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta

función de seguridad.

3. Permita que los rulos calienten, con la cubi-

erta de la unidad cerrada; esto logrará un

calentamiento más rápido y efectivo. El indica-

dor térmico rojo se volverá blanco cuando los

rulos alcancen temperatura óptima. Los rulos

calentarán en tan sólo minutos y podrá enton-

ces empezar a marcar el cabello.

4. Para obtener rizos apretados, deje que los

rulos calienten por más tiempo. Nunca des-

cuide ni abandone el aparato después de

encenderlo. Desconecte el aparato después de

usarlo. Permita que el aparato se enfríe, y

guárdelo

en un lugar seguro.

MANTENIMIENTO

Este producto ha sido diseñado para uso domés-

tico y requiere poco mantenimiento. Ha sido fab-

ricado usando un alto nivel de tecnología y com-

petencia. Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, des-

enchúfelo, permita que se enfríe y limpie la

superficie exterior con un paño limpio. De vez en

cuando, limpie los rulos usando un paño húmedo

y detergente o jabón suave. En caso de mal fun-

cionamiento, desconecte el aparato, permita que

se enfríe y regréselo a un centro de servicio

autorizado.

ALMACENAJE

Desconecte el aparato y permita que se enfríe

antes de guardarlo. Enrolle el cable sin apretar

alrededor de la base. Guárdelo en un lugar seco y

seguro, fuera del alcance de los niños.

apretados y firmes, enrolle una sección fina; para

obtener rizos sueltos y suaves, enrolle más

cabello.

La experiencia le enseñará cuanto tiempo dejar

dos deseados.

MODO DE EMPLEO

Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie plana y

conéctelo a una toma de corriente. Gire la cubi-

erta para cerrar. Una vez que los rulos están

calientes, gire la cubierta otra vez para acceder a

los tres primeros rulos que va a usar. Elija el

tamaño deseado, pequeño o mediano.

sol (spray) products are being used or

where oxygen is being administered.

10. Do not use an extension cord with this

appliance.

11. Do not immerse appliance in water.

13. Do not touch the posts that hold the curl-

ers. They are hot.

14. Use appliance on a level surface.

15. CAUTION: You shouldn’t use on wet hair.

Hair should be dry. Do not use liquids or

gels on hair with rollers.

Basic Use Procedure:

1. Before plugging unit into outlet, insert rollers

into the hairsetter unit. Rollers should be

open when heated (not snapped shut).

2. Place hairsetter on a firm, flat surface. Plug

into any ordinary household (120 AC) outlet.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one

blade is wider than the other). As a safety

feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet

only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into

the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not

fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not

attempt to defeat this safety feature.

3. With lid in closed position, allow rollers to

heat. This will heat up rollers the quickest

and most efficiently. The Ready Dot will turn

from red to white when rollers are ready to

use. In minutes, the rollers will be hot and

you can begin setting your hair.

4. Allow rollers to heat longer for tighter curls.

Never leave your hairsetter on and unat-

tended. Always unplug the hairsetter when

not in use. Allow hairsetter to cool, then store

in a safe place.

MAINTENANCE

Your hairsetter is designed for household use

and is virtually maintenance free. This product

represents the highest standards of workman-

ship and engineering research. If cleaning

becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance

from the power source. Allow the setter to cool.

Occasionally you may want to clean your rollers.

Use a damp cloth and mild detergent or soap. If

any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the hair-

setter, allow it to cool, and return it to a Conair

service center for repair.

STORAGE

Unplug hairsetter and allow it to cool. Loosely

wrap the cord around the base of unit for

storage. Place in a safe, dry location, out of the

reach of children.

Hairsetter, with its unique roller sys-

tem, produces excellent curling power. You can

achieve a professional “Look” with a head full of

spiral curls on any length hair, without leaving your

home. Curls and volume are possible, even on the

straightest hair. With Secret Curl

™

Hairsetter, your

tight or soft curls will form quickly and last longer.

Soft curls can be obtained by using a shorter

heat-up time and removing rollers soon after you

have completed your set.

The amount of hair per section will determine the

tightness of the curl: For firm curls, use small

sections of hair; for soft, loose curls, use larger

sections of hair.

Hairsetter several times,

you will find the best timing suitable for the tex-

ture of your hair and for attaining the particular

style desired.

HOW TO USE

Place hairsetter on flat surface and plug into

outlet. Rotate the cover to closed position. When

rollers are fully heated, rotate the cover again to

access the first three rollers in the size you desire

– choose small or medium.
